There is great power in naming things.
A big part of therapy is recognizing and naming our emotions. Words are powerful, they create worlds - what we speak (internally and out into the world) matters.
So, in that spirit, we wanted to share a little bit about why we chose the name Ewers & Mine Counseling.
Ewer /ˈyo͞oər/ (pronouced "your")
noun: a large jug with a wide mouth, formerly used for carrying water for someone to wash in.
Ewers & Mine Counseling is a space where you will find nourishment. Without sounding too cliche, we really do believe that life is a journey. And the truth is, we can't do it alone - everybody needs help moving forward.
We want to offer you the tools that make you feel empowered to make a different choice. You have the opportunity to identify your feelings and shift your mood states.
We are in this together. This collective healing journey is both "yours and mine". Our approach to therapy is one of authenticity. We show up to every session fully as ourselves so you have permission to do the same.
