is The Sandbox Therapy?
Nope. It's crucial to understand that the sandbox isn't a therapy service. While therapy typically involves optimal sessions lasting 45-60 minutes, our sessions are shorter and are centered on goal-oriented skill building. We do not delve into deep exploration of past or present emotional states, cognitive restructuring, or trauma processing. While all aspects of an individual are welcome, including their emotional and psychological elements, our focus remains on skill development rather than therapeutic intervention. The skills acquired through our sessions may indeed have therapeutic benefits, but it's essential to recognize that this is not therapy itself. Instead, we view it as a supplemental or adjunct opportunity to therapy, or as a standalone avenue for personal and professional growth.
What happens during my first session in the Sandbox?
During the first session at the Sandbox, the facilitator focuses on understanding the client's objectives and desires regarding skill development. This initial meeting serves as an opportunity for the client to express their goals and aspirations, while the facilitator gains insight into their specific areas of interest. Through open dialogue and active listening, the facilitator collaborates with the client to outline a plan for future sessions tailored to their individual needs. By the end of the first session, clients can expect to leave with a clear understanding of the direction for their skill-building journey, equipped with a plan for the sessions ahead.
Is The Sandbox ConfidentIAl?
At the Sandbox, we prioritize the confidentiality and privacy of our clients' information and shared experiences during sessions. We handle all client data with the utmost care and ensure that it remains strictly confidential. However, it's essential for clients to be aware that while we take rigorous measures to protect their privacy, the platforms used for sessions may not be entirely secure. We encourage transparency and advise clients to make informed decisions about participating in sessions while considering the limitations of the platforms utilized. Despite these constraints, we remain committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of our clients' information to the best of our ability.
How do I become a Client?
Signing up for the Sandbox is a straightforward process designed for convenience. Simply complete a brief web-based form outlining the specific skills or concepts you wish to focus on during your sessions. After submitting the form, easy electronic payment is facilitated, streamlining the process. Once completed, you'll have the flexibility to select session times through Calendly, ensuring convenience and ease of scheduling (you will receive a zoom link). With facilitators readily available to address any questions or concerns before or between sessions, you can embark on your skill-building journey with confidence and support.

How much DoES it cost and how do I pay?
The service is $200 per month.
Payment is accepted through electronic payment systems: Zelle and Venmo.
Sessions are 20 minutes long.
Your subscription allows 5 sessions per month.
You cannot use them back-to-back on the same day (making it a 40 minute session)
You can use them in the same week or spaced out within the same day (example: same day 9AM and 4PM).
Sessions cannot be banked or rolled over for later months.
You are never locked in to continue past the month you pay for.
